one more day...

One more day and I should be done...

I still need to add the eyes... maybe eyebrows... and the antennae...

progress2

Not feeling quite so bleargh about him today. I think that the addition of the mouth has made quite the difference. It never ceases to amaze me that such small things can add so much character.

Fingers crossed, I should have him finished by tomorrow!

i have to say it's the touches you gave this little guy so far that make him so charming - the contrast stitching around the ankles, the wonky mouth... i would have skipped those details and not come up with nearly as captivating of a fellow!

that's looking awesome Sharon! you've inspired me to try to create something for each of my boys as a Christmas present now too :)

He's coming along great. Are you still going to use the star buttons you posted about earlier? I really like them but know that sometimes what I think will be great when I start a project does not always go.

Your alien is looking great! I can't wait to see how the star eyes will look!

exciting! bet you cant wait to pop those eyes on ... and you still have some time up your sleeves before Chrissy day. I think Santa is putting you on the 'nice' list this year!

laurel - thank you... it's a shame that we are given specific instructions on how to knit or crochet, but not ever instructed on how to add those finishing touches, which really bring it all together

lou's mum - fabulous! I love it when readers tell me that they have been inspired to try something new! will is be for THIS christmas???

jacqui - I'm changing them ever so slightly :)

robbie - thanks!

sally - alas... there are a few other gifts which I still need to get done! aarghhh...

I much enjoy watching the progress - pieces turning into the whole. And what a loving gift for your son.
